FAQ | ArchieBee Australian Made Children’s Clothing

Where are ArchieBee clothes made?

Every ArchieBee garment is designed, pattern-made, cut and sewn in Australia.

I design and make ArchieBee in my Blue Mountains studio, from the first pattern through to the finished garment. ArchieBee is also certified Australian Made.

The textile manufacturing industry in Australia is very limited, so the fabrics themselves are generally not manufactured here. I source my fabrics through Australian fabric retailers and wholesalers wherever possible, using beautiful natural fibres such as cotton, linen and wool.

I believe there’s an important distinction between Australian designed, Australian owned and Australian made, and I want to be completely transparent about how and where ArchieBee clothing is produced.

What fabrics do you use?

Natural fibres are at the heart of ArchieBee. I primarily work with cotton, linen and wool, choosing fabrics for their comfort, breathability, durability and how beautifully they wear over time.

Fabric composition is listed on individual product pages so you know exactly what you’re buying.

How does ArchieBee sizing work?

ArchieBee is designed with real childhood in mind, and many pieces include adjustable straps, elastic waists, generous hems or other features designed to extend their wearable life.

Check the size chart on each product before ordering, as fit can vary between styles. If you’re between sizes or unsure, please get in touch and I’ll help.

Can I order a custom size?

If your child falls outside my standard sizing, please get in touch before ordering. Depending on the garment and my current workload, I may be able to adjust the fit or make a custom size.

I know standard sizing doesn’t work for every child, so I’m always happy to have a chat about what might work.

Do you wholesale?

I occasionally work with a small number of retailers who are a good fit for ArchieBee.

If you’re interested in stocking Australian made children’s clothing in your store, please get in touch to discuss wholesale availability.

How much is shipping?

Orders within Australia are sent via tracked Australia Post.

Shipping is FREE Australia-wide on orders over $150, or a flat rate of $10 for orders under $150.

You’ll receive tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

When will my order be shipped?

In-stock items are generally dispatched within 2 business days.

Made-to-order and pre-order pieces have their expected production timeframe listed on the individual product page. Because these pieces are made specifically for you, they won’t follow the standard 2-business-day dispatch timeframe.

Once your parcel has left me, delivery times are in the hands of Australia Post, but tracking will be provided so you can follow its journey.

What is your returns and exchanges policy?

I want you to be happy with your ArchieBee purchase.

If you believe an item is faulty, please contact me so I can arrange a suitable remedy.

For change-of-mind purchases, I’m happy to offer an exchange or store credit on eligible full-priced items returned unworn, unwashed, with tags attached and in their original condition.

Return postage for change-of-mind returns is the customer’s responsibility.

Please contact me before returning an item so I can help organise your return.

How should I care for my ArchieBee clothing?

Care instructions are included on every ArchieBee garment and will vary depending on the fabric.

As a general rule, gentle washing, line drying in the shade and avoiding the dryer will help natural-fibre clothing look beautiful for longer.

Always follow the care label on your individual garment first.
